Here is how the average donation figure is arrived at:
The average (not the median) home price in the U.S. is currently very close to $300,000.
The average real estate commission is 5.1%.
Therefore, the average real estate commission is $15,300. Most often the listing agency gets half and the agency representing the buyer gets the other half. That’s $7,650 each.
FundraisingRealEstate.org generally receives 30% of the real estate commission as a referral commission. For either the selling or buying transaction, that would be 30% of $7,650 being $2,295 per transaction.
As FundraisingRealEstate.org donates half of its income to the worthy cause chosen by the person doing the real estate transaction, there would be $1,147.50 donated to their cause.
Usually, a person using our program to sell their home will again use the program to purchase their next home. That would result in two times $1,147.50 being donated, or $2,295.00
When someone recommends a buyer/seller who uses FundraisingRealEstate.org and a sale or purchase results, then an additional 25% of our referral commission from the first transaction goes to a Worthy Cause chosen by the person who made the referral. In this case, that would result in an additional donation of $573.75.
Occasionally, the buyer/seller and the person that referred the buyer/seller to FundraisingRealEstate.org will be supporting the same Worthy Cause. When this happens, the total funds to that Worthy Cause would be $2,295 plus $573.75 or $2,868.75.
Of course, if the selling price or the real estate commission is either greater or smaller than the above figures, then the actual figures will be greater or smaller respectively. It should also be noted that real estate commissions are always negotiated, so these figures are meant to only give you an understanding of the process and not imply any standard commission rates.
If the process is repeated many times throughout the year in the membership of a Worthy Cause, it is easy to see what an effective fundraising tool this would be. The program can be used for any type of real estate, including ranch land, apartments, commercial and other investment properties.
You can choose any national or local
charity, support a school or church program, or even just a person
you know who could use a little help with
their food or medical bills.
FundraisingRealEstate.org chooses not to knowingly give donations to the following:
Political Causes
Illegal or Terrorist Activities
Immoral Activities (as defined by us). If you are uncertain about your Worthy Cause, be sure to pass your Cause by us prior to using our services.
To the person(s) that direct our donations, be they the persons buying or selling the real estate or those that referred others to us. This also applies to their immediate or extended family members or personally owned businesses. Our desire is to not just pay people for using our programs but to support legitimate Worthy Causes. That said, a person could have some indirect benefit. For example, if parents chose to designate a school program to buy uniforms or pay travel costs for a band or sports team in which their child participated, that would be fine. However, we will not write a check directly to either the person(s) buying or selling the real estate or to a person who referred someone to us.
Note: We reserve the right to refuse doing business with anyone, at our discretion.
If you tell your family and friends
about FundraisingRealEstate.org and
they use our service, you can generate an additional donation
of 25% from that referral
commission
the first time they use the FundraisingRealEstate.org program.
That averages $574 to your worthy cause. You can do this with
as many people as you
wish.
If you inspire your worthy cause members
to also use the FundraisingRealEstate.org programs,
you will have initiated a wonderful ongoing fundraising
program. Fundraising details.
MAKE IT HAPPEN
To get you a real estate agent, all we need to know is your name, phone number, e-mail, a general price range of the real estate you are buying or selling and the neighborhood or zip codes of the area of interest. If you are choosing an agent yourself, then we need the agent’s name, phone number and, if you have it, their e-mail. At some point before closing we will need the name of your worthy cause and their mailing address.
We sincerely hope you will join us in making a difference in the world,
lending a helping hand to others. We feel great about doing so and we know
you will as well. You will no doubt appreciate both the greater meaning
this simple action gives to your own life as well as the heart-felt recognition
